Terms of Service

Welcome to schnap! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the schnap! mobile application and related services (the "Service") operated by schnap! ("we," "us," or "our").

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using schnap!, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@schnap.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to schnap!, including screenshots, collections, study sets, and marketplace packs. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content. Do not upload content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights.

4. AI-Generated Content

schnap! uses artificial intelligence (OpenAI) to generate study guides and extract text from screenshots. AI-generated content is provided for educational purposes and may contain inaccuracies. You should verify important information independently. We are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

schnap! offers a free tier and paid Pro subscriptions. Subscriptions are billed through Apple In-App Purchases and are subject to Apple's terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings.

Prices may change with notice. Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy.

6. Marketplace

Creators can publish content packs on the schnap! marketplace. By publishing a pack, you grant other users the right to view and use the pack content within the app. You retain ownership of your content. We reserve the right to remove packs that violate these Terms.

You can delete your account at any time from the app settings. Account deletion permanently removes all your personal data, screenshots, collections, and study materials. Shared boards you own are transferred to the next member. Published marketplace packs are anonymized. This action cannot be undone.

9. Intellectual Property

The schnap! name, logo, and app design are our intellectual property. You may not use our branding without permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, schnap! shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
